The initial residence-and-work authorisation (type A.1) lets a newcomer live and work in Andorra. The applicant must fall within the legally set quota, hold an open-ended employment contract with a company legally established in Andorra, and set up permanent and effective residence in the country.

After seven years, later renewals are for ten years, except for nationals of states that have a convention with Andorra.

It also needs criminal-record certificates from your country of origin, nationality and residence, a medical-review consent, and a CV with diplomas.

After the authorisation is granted you must register with the comú (parish council) where you live within three months, and prove it within the same period.
