— For Families

Backing someone who is going abroad? Check it together first.

A job abroad is a big decision for a whole family, and often a family's savings. These five checks take an evening, cost nothing, and can be done before any money moves.

Free. No account needed for any of the checks below.

Five checks

Do these before any money moves.

  1. Check the recruiter with your own government. Every source country we work with has a way to check a recruiter's licence. Find yours below or on the verification page. If you cannot find them, do not pay. Where to check →
  2. Ask for the offer in writing, and read it together. Role, salary, hours, housing, contract length and who pays for the flight. Our offer checker lists what should be there and what is missing. Open the offer checker →
  3. Work out the real cost. Ask what is charged, by whom, and when. With us there is one initiation fee, paid after the profile is complete, and you can see the amount for your country first. Open the fee calculator →
  4. Ask what happens if it does not work out. Get the refund terms in writing before paying. Ours are published, including the exclusions. Read how our guarantee works →
  5. Ask who will answer the phone. A named person with a real email, not just a WhatsApp number. Every EMIGRATLY candidate has one named specialist. See a sample file →
Warning signs

Walk away, or at least pause, if you hear any of these.

  1. "The visa is guaranteed." Governments decide visas. Nobody else can promise one.
  2. "Send the money to this personal account or wallet." Pay only a registered company, through a bank account or checkout on its official website.
  3. "Decide today, the place will go." A real employer gives a family time to read, ask and talk it over.
  4. "Give me the original passport now." Scans are enough to apply. Originals are needed only when a visa is being processed, and only by a body you have checked.
  5. "We only use WhatsApp." Look for a real company, a real address and a licence you can check.
Staying in touch

How a family can help once the process starts.

Ask to see the dashboard

Every candidate has a dashboard showing their next step, their documents and whether each is verified, their payment status, their match and each visa stage. It belongs to the candidate, and showing it to you is their choice.

Keep copies together

Keep a photo of the passport photo page, the signed contract and the flight details where the family can reach them. If a phone is lost or a plan changes, nobody starts from zero.

Plan the money home

Agree how salary will reach the family, and compare the options before the first payday rather than after it.

Know the way back

Contracts end, and sometimes they end early. It is easier to talk about it before departure than in a crisis.
