What is contract substitution?
Contract substitution means the contract you accepted at home is replaced with a different one, usually with worse terms, before you travel or after you arrive. Typical signs are a lower salary, a different job title, promised housing or food no longer included, or a new contract put in front of you at the airport or on your first day with a push to sign quickly.
If a new contract appears, do not sign straight away. Say you need time, compare it line by line with your copy of the first one, and ask in writing why anything changed. Keep copies of both.
