Large Employers That Hire From Abroad
Well-known employers here that publish their own job listings and hire foreign staff. These are not Emigratly contracts, and we have no agreement with them. Apply only on the employer's own careers page, and never pay anyone for a job at a named company: recruiters have used big brand names to advertise jobs the company never offered.

Geography
Saudi Arabia is the largest country in the Middle East, covering most of the Arabian Peninsula — from the Red Sea coast in the west, through the capital Riyadh on the central Najd plateau, to the vast Rub' al Khali (Empty Quarter) desert in the south and east.
Regions
The Hejaz region on the Red Sea coast includes Jeddah and the holy cities of Mecca and Medina. The mountainous Asir region in the southwest has a notably cooler, greener climate than the rest of the country. The Eastern Province on the Gulf coast is the centre of the oil industry.
Economy and Key Industries
The world's largest oil exporter, Saudi Arabia is now driving one of the biggest economic diversification efforts anywhere through Vision 2030.
Key industries
- Oil and petrochemicals: still the backbone of the economy, managed through state oil company Aramco
- Giga-projects: NEOM, the Red Sea Project, and Qiddiya represent unprecedented construction and infrastructure investment
- Tourism: a tourist visa program launched in 2019 for the first time in the country's modern history
- Healthcare: major ongoing investment in hospitals and healthcare infrastructure
- Entertainment: cinemas, concerts, and mixed public venues, all newly permitted since 2017–18
Currency
The Saudi Riyal (SAR) is pegged to the US Dollar. There is no personal income tax.
Foreign Worker Population
Saudi Arabia hosts roughly 13 million foreign workers, a significant share of the total workforce, with established South Asian and Southeast Asian communities across every major city.
Work visa basics
Employment is employer-sponsored under the kafala-derived system, though Saudi Arabia has introduced labor reforms in recent years including the ability for some workers to change employers and exit the country without employer permission in defined circumstances. Your TAPS specialist reviews the current rules for your specific contract.
Lifestyle for Foreign Workers
Climate
Summers are extremely hot across most of the country; the Asir region in the southwest is notably cooler and greener, especially in summer.
Culture and community
Recent years have brought significant social change — cinemas, mixed public venues, concerts, and a tourism visa program — alongside the country's continued religious significance as home to Islam's two holiest cities. Modest dress is expected in public. The weekend is Friday–Saturday.
Safety
Saudi Arabia is generally very safe, with low street crime and a strong domestic security presence.
Community
Large, established South Asian and Southeast Asian communities in Riyadh, Jeddah, and the Eastern Province mean familiar food and support networks in every major city.
Sectors EMIGRATLY Places Into
Construction, healthcare support, facility management, and specialized trades are EMIGRATLY's most active sectors in Saudi Arabia, with construction demand at exceptional scale given the current giga-project pipeline.
